i need your opinion on Vidoz vs. Bertino. I think my friend Paolo was the better fighter and deserves the victory but the judges gave it to Bertino.

Hello Fillipo. You are right, Vidoz deserved the victory.
Sadly most of the decisions saturday were bad, I dont want to hear more talk about Germany being the most corrupt boxing country.
After saturday Denmark is nr1….

 I have to disagree on that one … the three fights were very close - and close fights often goes to the homefighter. Germany (and Italy - and for that mater Denmark) has seen clear losers given the win - that was not the case saterday. It was a mater of very close fights going to the hometown boxer. So in my view there is no reason to call this a scandal - and it’s by no means enough to take Germany’s top-rank as boxing-corrupt

I had for Vidoz with 77-75. Fairly close, but I think it was a gift.

77-76 for Vidoz on my card, very close though, can´t say it was a bad decision though.

But Paolo needs to get in better shape - he´s still a capable boxer but was too heavy.

And Bertino showed improved defence and held up well under pressure.

I never used the word ” Scandal” However I said the judges were corrupt. Ask 10 people who saw the event and the 8 will agree with me.
I suddenly remembered why I dont miss Team Palles fight cards…

Well with all due respect - Palle’s cards weren’t very often this hard matched - harder matching = closer fights.

As for the “scandal” - I was just thinking of the frase about Denmark being more corrupt than Germany - I don’t think that is the case - not even by a long shot. Some of the judging mght have been small gifts - but there was no thefts - we’ve had plenty of those in Germany … Denmark is still far behind Germany in that area - and Italy for that mater.

It’s very important for me and all the people involved in Paolo Vidoz’s homepage to know that.

The “homemade verdict”  it’s a big problem in Germany and in Italy too, there’s no difference, it’s a cancer for our favorite sport like the boxing oranization fragmentation. I didnt know Danish situation before saturday.

It’s a very sad situation that EBU or nationals federations don’t want to resolve the problem.
